The Acura TL was introduced in 1996 to supplant the Acura Vigor and was a rebadged Japan market as the Honda Inspire sedan until the third-generation version. The Acura TL is a mid-size luxury car mostly aimed at the business class.
The TL is Hondas best-selling model, and it is the second best selling luxury sedan in the United States behind the BMW 3-Series. Honda achieved such success in this segment when they created a smaller entry level Acura TSX.
